This is one of the ideas behind CoCi, a product we are building at MiVa Systems.
CoCi is designed around a simple question:
When you need someone, can technology help you discover the relevant people already connected to you — and show you how you are connected?
Instead of treating every profile as an isolated profile, CoCi is being built to understand relationships between people.
That means the value is not only in finding a person. It is also in understanding the path to that person.
From searching for profiles to discovering people
Imagine that you need a mentor in your field.
Or you are looking for a job opportunity.
Or you need a trusted professional for a specific service.
Today, many digital platforms primarily help us find profiles, listings, or search results.
But a profile alone does not answer an important human question:
How am I connected to this person?
CoCi is being built to make that relationship context visible.
Who is connected to whom? How close is the relationship? Why might this person be relevant? Which trusted people are part of the path?
The goal is to make your existing and extended network more understandable and useful.
Trust matters more than a profile
Professional networks can tell you about experience. Search engines can tell you what exists. Social platforms can tell you who has a profile.
But important decisions often require something more human: confidence in the person behind the profile.
That is why trust is an important part of CoCi's product direction.
We are exploring ways to make meaningful trust signals more visible without reducing trust to a single mysterious number. Relationships, confirmations, endorsements, verification signals, and other relevant context should help people understand why a connection may be worth considering.
The principle is simple:
Who vouches matters more than how many people you know.
AI should help you find the path, not replace the people
AI is changing how people search for information. We believe it can also change how people discover relationships.
Inside CoCi, AI is being developed as an interface that can understand what you are looking for, identify potentially relevant people, and explain why a person may be relevant to your need.
The technology should make discovery easier while keeping the human relationship at the center.
Because ultimately, the objective is not to have an AI answer every problem.
The objective is to help you reach the right person.
Why we are starting with real human needs
CoCi is initially focused on areas where relationships can make a meaningful difference: mentorship, careers and jobs, and business and professional services.
These are situations where knowing the right person — or knowing someone who knows the right person — can change an outcome.
Our first goal is not to create another place where people collect profiles.
It is to make the human network around them more visible and useful.
Building CoCi one layer at a time
We are still early.
Our MVP is already available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store, and we are continuing to improve the product based on real usage and feedback.
At MiVa Systems, we believe meaningful technology is built by solving real problems first and expanding from evidence.
That means improving the fundamentals of profiles, relationships, trust signals, discovery, and eventually introductions — one layer at a time.
We do not believe technology needs to make human relationships more complicated.
It should make them easier to understand.
